current Series | Firehouse

There’s no formula for knowing everything about God, but there are a few things you can do to get to know Him better. In this series, we’ll take a look at a few unique ways all of us can get to know God better.

Bottom Line: Creation points to the Creator.
Sometimes the thought of doing something that will help us know God better leaves us less than excited. But if you change the way you approach getting to know God, you might be surprised at what you discover! This week, we’ll see that one way we can know God better is by looking at the world He created.

Bottom Line: Prayer helps us know God better.
Have you ever prayed for something and felt like you got absolutely nothing from God? If you have, you’re not alone! But what if prayer isn’t just about getting what we want? This week, we’ll discover that maybe the best way we can view prayer is to see it as a way of growing closer to God.

Bottom Line: You don’t have to know everything to share something.
When you love something—like really love something—you probably talk about it a lot. But if that’s true, why is talking about God so difficult? The truth is, talking about God doesn’t have to make us nervous, scared, or awkward. This week, we’ll see that when it comes to talking about God, we already have all we need to help both ourselves and others know Him more.

Bottom Line: Worship is more about the Who than the how.
When you hear the word “worship,” what comes to mind? Singing songs? Words on a screen? Someone playing an acoustic guitar? What if worship was so much more than that? This week, we’ll learn that worship isn’t as much about how we do it as it is about Who it’s directed toward.
