Hope Center Director

Requirements:

Graduate degree in counseling and/or related field. Licensure as a LPC and/or LMFT in the State of Texas or Texas-licensure eligible. Minimum of two (2) years experience working in a mental health setting required. Knowledge and experience in counseling theory and techniques. Strong clinical, communication, teaming, public speaking and time management skills. Computer literacy and thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access. Valid driver’s license, malpractice insurance, and ability to pass background checks. Ability to handle confidential matters and a high degree of professional integrity required. Ability to work under pressure with good supervisory skills, be a self-starter, innovative and demonstrate the capacity for maintaining high professional standards.

Essential Job Functions:

Provides individual, couple, group counseling, and psychotherapy, family and collateral services. Provide psycho-social assessment and services to families. Maintain and aggregate casework and statistical records. Meet state standards for billable units and uphold all ethical/legal standards. Initiate and coordinate case supervision and treatment planning activities. Maintain on-going outreach and linkage building activities within the church and community.

Provide client advocacy and client follow-up. Maintain accurate knowledge about the agency, its programs and services. Accurately represent the ministry in the community. Maintain positive working relationships with the general public, clients, and funding sources.

To provide leadership and vision for the counseling center, including the ongoing development of strategic plans, annual goals, and assessment of clinical operations and all services. Effectively manage and supervise the Counseling Center staff, clinical operations (e.g., staff caseload, outreach/consultation programs, referral processes and procedures, clinical records, etc.), budgets, and daily operations. Supervise graduate and BA level interns and agency volunteers. 

Communicate all feedback from the community through your supervisor to management. Utilize appropriate opportunities to pursue positive public relations for the agency. Be available for some evening and weekend activities. Participate in program planning, case consultation and staffing. Other tasks as assigned by Management.
