Holiday festival in historic downtown McKinney with fun activities, food, all-day lineup of entertainment on an outdoor musical stage. Shop for the holidays at locally owned stores and boutiques around the square. Kids will enjoy roaming costumed characters, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and fun rides and attractions including SnowZilla.  

Plano Christmas Market

Plano Christmas Market is a fun and free event that showcases handmade holiday gift items made of fabric, wood, ceramic, and glass. Other exhibitors have jewelry and clothing for adults and children, along with candles and soaps. There will also be a wonderful selection of salsas, jams, nuts, and dips for gifts or holiday parties. In addition, Collin County seniors will stock the Hip Hip for Gray booth with a variety of crafts including quilts, baby items, ornaments, and more!

Santa’s Village

Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from December 1 – December 16
Santa’s Village, a tiny town of sixteen holiday dwellings on the north side of City Hall is a holiday tradition for families from Richardson and beyond. Each colorful building offers children a fun activity and even a visit with Santa Claus! Attendees can also enjoy live performances, holiday photo ops and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or a snack. 

 

 

Vitruvian Lights

November 23 to January 1, 6 to 10 PM

Wander through Vitruvian Park’s 12 acres and view more than 550 illuminated trees, wrapped in 1.5 million sparkling LED lights. The large number of single-color trees gives this display a modern flare.

At the George W. Bush Presidential Center, visitors will discover the beauty and excitement of the White House holiday. The all-new exhibit showcases gorgeous flowers and colorful murals, behind-the-scenes photos, Mrs. Bush’s holiday dress, and more. 

 

12 Days of Christmas

The Arboretum is open for special lighted nighttime showings in December. A variety of holiday music is provided throughout the garden. Seasonal sweet and savory treats and hot beverages for children and adults are available for purchase 

 

Dallas Zoo Lights

November 17- December 31 from 5 PM – 9 PM  

Dallas Zoo – 650 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas TX 75203 
Stroll through the zoo during the holidays and enjoy acres of holiday-themed light displays, 2- and 3-D light sculptures and holiday vignettes including Candy Land at the North Pole. Guests can enjoy holiday music, crafts, and activities for the kids.  

 

Black Nativity

Experience the Nativity story through gospel music. Now in its 14th year, Langston Hughes’ foot-stomping, toe tapping, finger-snapping holiday favorite returns to the Bishop Arts Theatre Center stage. 

 

ICE!

Every Friday and Saturday November 9 – January 1 from 5 PM to close 
Gaylord Texan –  1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine, Texas 76051 
An extraordinary and magical display of elaborate, life-sized ice sculptures, ice slides and ice monuments with dramatic lighting effects – all created from nearly 2 million pounds of ice. 

 

Magical Winter Lights

November 16 – January 6 from 5 PM – 11PM
Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie – 1000 Lone Star Parkway, Grand Prairie 75050 
Magical Winter Lights is a lantern festival embraces Chinese cultural elements with lantern designs that speak to the local audience. The festival features an entrance castle lantern inspired by the Dallas County Courthouse, a giant cowboy, and Dallas’ iconic Pegasus. There are several themed sections including Magical Wonderland, Christmas Candy Land, The Lone Star State, Dinosaur Land and Mystery of the East.  During your visit, you can also enjoy Chinese acrobatic performances, dinosaur rides for children and a full-size food court.  

 

Prairie Lights

Four million lights twinkle along a two-mile path throughout this drive-through holiday attraction. Visitors can hop out at Holiday Village, featuring the all-new indoor Snow Maze and a walk-through holiday light display.
