The Christmas Spectacular at the Star

The Star in Frisco, this event gives fans an opportunity to enjoy free, family-friendly events throughout the holiday season including the Christmas Spectacular presented by Albertsons and Tom Thumb and the opportunity to take a photo with Santa Claus.

Holiday festival in historic downtown McKinney with fun activities, food, all-day lineup of entertainment on an outdoor musical stage. Shop for the holidays at locally owned stores and boutiques around the square. Kids will enjoy roaming costumed characters, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and fun rides and attractions including SnowZilla.  

Plano Christmas Market

Plano Christmas Market is a fun and free event that showcases handmade holiday gift items made of fabric, wood, ceramic, and glass. Other exhibitors have jewelry and clothing for adults and children, along with candles and soaps. There will also be a wonderful selection of salsas, jams, nuts, and dips for gifts or holiday parties. In addition, Collin County seniors will stock the Hip Hip for Gray booth with a variety of crafts including quilts, baby items, ornaments, and more! 

 

Deerfield Neighborhood Light Show

December 1 – 30 7 pm-10pm on weekdays and 7 pm-11pm on weekends.

When Deerfield was being built, it was considered by many to be too far north on Preston Road. There were only fields north of the intersection of Park and Preston. The builders wanted to get people into the neighborhood to look at the homes, so for three or four Christmas seasons, they offered the homeowners a $5000 prize for 1st place, $2500 for second place, and $1000 for 3rd place. 

Santa’s Village

Santa’s Village, a tiny town of sixteen holiday dwellings on the north side of City Hall is a holiday tradition for families from Richardson and beyond. Each colorful building offers children a fun activity and even a visit with Santa Claus! Attendees can also enjoy live performances, holiday photo ops and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or a snack. 

Richardson’s 47th Annual Christmas Parade

Vitruvian Lights

Wander through Vitruvian Park’s 12 acres and view more than 550 illuminated trees, wrapped in 1.5 million sparkling LED lights. The large number of single-color trees gives this display a modern flare. 
 

Downtown Dallas Wanderland

Pop-up shops, holiday decorations, live music, and drink specials turn downtown Dallas into a winter wonderland every Thursday-Saturday through Christmas.

Christmas at the Anatole

Peppermint Park will take place in the Anatole park and will feature games and activities for kids, visits with Santa Claus, holiday shows, train rides around the park, light displays and more! 

 

Merry & Bright Night

Sip hot cocoa, take part in fun family holiday activities, and explore the new special exhibit, Christmas at the White House 2007: Holiday in the National Parks. In the all-new holiday exhibit, visitors will get a glimpse into the magical White House holiday celebration of 2007 that highlighted America’s national parks. 

 

12 Days of Christmas

The Arboretum is open for special lighted nighttime showings in December. A variety of holiday music is provided throughout the garden. Seasonal sweet and savory treats and hot beverages for children and adults are available for purchase. 

 

Dallas Zoo Lights

Stroll through the zoo during the holidays and enjoy acres of holiday-themed light displays, 2- and 3-D light sculptures and holiday vignettes including Candy Land at the North Pole. Guests can enjoy holiday music, crafts, and activities for the kids.  

 

Black Nativity

Experience the Nativity story through gospel music. Now in its 14th year, Langston Hughes’ foot-stomping, toe tapping, finger-snapping holiday favorite returns to the Bishop Arts Theatre Center stage. 

Lone Star Christmas

The Gaylord Texan takes Christmas celebrations to an all new level!  Their massive ICE! featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, display is enough but then they add in Santa’s Wild Workshop Snow Tubing,  Glacier Glide Ice Skating, Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt, the amazing decorations throughout the resort and more and this is one heck of a fun activity!
